This site is a catch-all: part book and tech blog, part portfolio, part hedonistic experiment. The range of material presented on the site ideally will provide an idea not just of my interests and pursuits, but also of the quality of work I produce and my willingness to explore new genres, venues, and ideas. 

About me...

I hail from Lawrence, Kansas, where I received my MA in Composition & Rhetoric from the University of Kansas in 2011. Much of my career experience has been in academia, specifically in writing center work, but I recently transitioned to the public sector to work as a Multimedia Instructional Designer for a software company (ajla.net). I also freelance copy edit academic, professional, and personal writing. I love language and the challenge of working with writers to help them communicate more effectively in their writing. I am a nerd for books, beer, vinyls, and technology, with a predilection for spreadsheets to keep track of things I love. Currently I reside in Topeka, KS.
